Typesetter and Graphic Designer

Create Thoughtful, Faith‑Centered Resources That Serve a Global Audience 
Our Daily Bread Ministries is seeking a Typesetter and Graphic Designer to join our Creative Services Team. In this role, you will help bring Scripture‑centered content to life through careful design and precise typesetting, supporting Our Daily Bread Publishing, ministry partners, church engagement efforts, and internal communications. 
 
Through your attention to detail, creativity, and collaborative approach, you will contribute to print resources that serve believers and seekers around the world, helping people engage more deeply with God’s Word. 

What You’ll Do 
 
Design and Typeset Ministry Resources 
Design and typeset book interiors, ministry materials, and supporting print resources using established typography and brand standards.
Work closely with the Senior Typesetter to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality across projects. 
 
Support Print Production 
Prepare press‑ready files, assist with cover design finishing, and collaborate with Supply Chain Management to support accurate and timely prepress and production processes. 
 
Collaborate with Creative Partners 
Partner with creative leadership, marketing, and cross‑functional teams to deliver thoughtful design solutions.
Work under the direction of, and report to, the Art Director to ensure alignment with overall creative vision and standards. 
Care for Creative Assets 
Maintain organized files, accurate naming conventions, and clear version control for all design assets. 
Stay aware of current design and typography trends, applying them appropriately in ways that support the ministry’s mission and uphold a high standard of visual quality. 
 
Support Marketing and Promotional Needs 
Assist with the design of basic ads, catalogs, inserts, calendars, planners, and other promotional materials as needed. 
Carefully review work to ensure excellence in layout, typography, image usage, and adherence to copyright and licensing requirements. 
 
What You Bring 

Education and Experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, commercial design, or a related field required.
  • At least three years of professional design experience, with a strong focus on print design and typesetting. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong understanding of typography, image selection, preflight processes, and print‑ready file preparation. 
  • Strong attention to detail with effective organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently while meeting deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative, servant‑hearted approach to teamwork.
  • Openness to feedback and a desire to continue learning and growing.
